The Second Battalia of the Prince Palatine's Tertio march to assault Basing House. The Battalia is made up of Vaughans and Rivers taking the part of Parliamentarians for the day, Joined by their new allies, Sir Phillip Skippons

Second Battalia Pike Attack the Earthworks as Ruperts regroup

Before the Battle has been long under way the Attackers find the Table Turned as Sir Henry Gages Men arrive from the Royalist Capital at Oxford. Vaughans Pike change front to face an attack from the rear.
The attackers are almost trapped but manage to fight their way outr of the ambush
Gages men (Played by Hawkins Regiment) reinforce the Garrison
The Papist Soldiers in the garrison are harbouring a couple of Hedge Priests. If Parliament take the House then their fate is certain death
Hawkins (Gages) Regiment man the barricades for another days fighting
Some of Vaughans Musket are fighting with Prince Ruperts Regiment, who are also playing Roundheads for the day
The 'Parliamentarians' gather for the attack. Vaughans and Rivers will form the Left Flank or the Assault
The Musketeers march up the glasis of the Earthworks
Closely followed by their supporting Pike
The attackers close in on the fortress
The Musketeers pour fire into the dying fortress as their support advances to Push of Pike

After fierce hand to hand fighting the Garrison fight on to the end and the fortress is destroyed

Our events range from an individual presentation of the Living History of the Stuart age to the spectacle of hundreds of reenactors recreating the fury of an English Civil War Battle. Come and see our displays as a spectator, or take the kings shilling now and take part! All application for membership accepted at the discretion of our Commanding Officer.
